It's My Story to Tell
It's My Story to Tell
Playing card collage on wood, finished in resin
A King of Hearts offers up a bouquet of dimensional hearts, cut from the card's own suit symbols, to a Jack of Hearts beside him — both figures torn from their original card borders and reassembled against a dark, painted background streaked with color. Found stamped text runs across the top: "it's my story to tell."
Color bleeds up from the base of each card, giving way to loose painted gesture where the printed imagery ends — a reminder that even a mass-produced card can be rewritten.
Details:
4" x 6" on wood panel
Resin-sealed surface, ready to hang
One-of-a-kind, signed by the artist
